This policy describes how SiraPet handles your information. It applies to the SiraPet mobile app, the sira.pet website, and the vet / pro / admin portals.
What data we collect
When you use SiraPet, we collect the following information:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your pet's information: name, breed, date of birth, photo, and microchip number
- Your pet's medical records: vaccinations, treatments, surgeries, prescriptions, and weight logs
- Your delivery addresses
- Your order and payment history
- Device push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
Why we collect it
We use your data to provide and improve our services. Specifically:
- To connect you with veterinarians, shops, groomers, and other pet care professionals in Lebanon and the MENA region
- To maintain your pet's digital medical records
- To process orders and deliveries
- To send you important notifications about your pet's health (appointment reminders, vaccination due dates)
- To verify your identity through OTP codes
Who we share your data with
We share limited data with the following service providers to operate SiraPet:
- BestSMSBulk (bestsmsbulk.com) — receives your phone number to deliver SMS and WhatsApp verification codes
- Resend (resend.com) — receives your email address to send transactional emails (verification, order confirmations)
- Cloudflare R2 — stores your uploaded photos and medical documents securely
- Payment gateway — receives order and payment details to process transactions (provider to be confirmed)
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We only share what is necessary for each service to function.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your personal information (name, phone, email, addresses) is permanently anonymised
- Your pet photos are removed
- Order and invoice records are retained as required by Lebanese tax and commercial law
- Medical records are retained because they may be needed by veterinary professionals
OTP verification codes expire automatically after 5 minutes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — view all the data we hold about you, directly in the app
- Correction — update your profile, pet information, and medical records at any time
- Deletion — delete your account from the Account screen. Your data will be anonymised as described above
- Portability — request a copy of your data by emailing us
